What is Mylar®?

Mylar® is a brand name, rather than a product itself. It is a registered trademark owned by DuPont Teijin Films and refers to specific products.

Mylar® is a plastic sheet or stretched polyester film available in various thicknesses, styles, and finishes. The product is correctly named biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate.
